Do our feet really permanently get bigger?

I know this is what people always say, and I read that the extra relaxin can cause our feet to spread and grow permanently.  I do not recall if this happened with my first child as it was so long ago, but I am freaked out about this!!

I have worked in luxury retail for a long time and I have amassed a really expensive shoe collection over the years.  I worked for Manolo Blahnik for almost 3 years.  I may seriously cry if I outgrow all of my shoes.  I may consider foot binding
