How far will you count?

I know not everybody implements the 'counting' concept for disciplining children. it works pretty well for my daughter and if I get to 3 she gets a timeout. 

But I just heard someone in our lobby at work count all the way to 10 for her daughter!  And still didn't enforce any sort of discipline once she got to her number limit..... talk about inconsistency! No wonder the kid is still misbehaving if Mom isn't enforcing anything!

Just kinda made me laugh.. counting all the way up to 10 seemed to me like a good way to give the kid an opportunity to misbehave longer! But what do i know
