Anyone have to do a 24 hour urine collection?

I had my 20 week OB apt today.  My bp was 126/70, but I had protein in my urine.  She asked me if I have a history of bladder infections, yes I do.  They were so bad pre-pg I had to see a urologist and have kidney u/s's.  When I hear 24 hour urine sample I think of pre-e so I am nervous.  I am hoping she is just being overly cautious and it is a UTI or bladder infection...

When you did the 24 hour urine catch did they find anything (I fee like it is super early to have to do this)?
