Baby Food: Green Beans

Hi all - I'm a part time lurker (I spend more of my time on the cd board) with a baby food question.  I am trying to make as much of my baby food as possible.  The doctor gave me a list of things not to make because of nitrates in the soil, but I make anything else I can.

My current issue is green beans.  I can not find a recipe for green beans in any book or website.  I am concerned about the stringiness when blending.  Does anyone have a good way to make green beans for babies?
