Update - Repost from high-risk- Cervical length

I posted this on the high-risk board, but since you are my Jan mommies, thought I'd post here too :)

I just got back from my MFM appointment and I'm a little concerned and don't really feel at ease.  The doctor basically "looked over" my past medical history and said that the LEEP alone isn't concern for needing a cerclage or closer monitoring during pregnancy.  OK, I know that.  BUT he completely ignored the reason WHY my doctor referred me to MFM.  I was having some pressure and pain.

Back story - I have been having pressure and pain for the past 2 weeks, on Friday and this weekend it has gotten worse and I started getting very concerned.  When it all started, my regular OB referred me to a specialist to discuss everything.

The pain has gotten worse, which after telling this "specialist" about the pain (he wasn't even going to give me a chance to talk, but you better believe I did!), he said it might be segmental contractions.  I am fully ok with having a diagnosis like that if that is truly what it is, but I wanted him to check my cervix just to put my mind at ease.

Well, after visually looking at it, things looked closed and long.  Check that off my list off worries.
Then he does the manual examine and tells me that my cervical length is 2.5 and is perfect and I have nothing to worry about.
I thought that it should be over 3??? Especially at only 17 weeks???

I feel better knowing that things don't look imminent at this point, but I don't feel completely at ease.  I have my next OB appointment on Friday and I plan on bringing it up.  What do you ladies think?
