Pumping question

I plan to pump for a few months after I go back to work.  My plan was to pump into the bottles, and then pour into bags to freeze for later.  While at work during the day, can I pump into the bottles, keep the milk in the bottles, then at the next session pump into those bottles again (so, mix milk from 2 or more sessions)?  I was just thinking this would be easier at work then having to pour into bags while in the office.  I'd just keep the bottles in a cooler bag with an ice pack.  I'm a first timer, so I have no idea if this is "ok" or a bad idea for some reason.  Also, no idea why at 9am on Saturday morning this is on my mind.    Thanks!
