NBR: Tree Removal

Since you ladies are some of the most knowledgeable people I know, I thought I would ask this here to see if I could get any insight.

We have this cottonwood tree in our backyard.  It has one super thick stump and then branches out into 3 separate trees.  Well, Tuesday night, one fell.  Luckily, it didn't land on anything but we are talking about an 80ft tree in the middle of our yard!  I have someone coming out to give us an estimate on removing the whole thing.  Has anyone had to have a giant tree like this removed?  If so, what did it cost you?
