XP: Hematoma after hypospadias repair?

My son just had his surgery on Thursday and he developed a hematoma around the shaft of his penis.  I'm pretty concerned.  We've been so concerned about him being able to urinate and some continued bleeding, the questions are just now starting to set in as far as how this might affect him in the future.  The post-op appointment feels like forever away.  Just wondering if anyone had experienced this and how your son is doing.  TIA
