It doesn't have to be used as a "drop side" but now I am nervous... I was just trying to get all the bedding pieces off and wash them, was searching for how to get the canopy off the support bars, but instead I found the recall info.  :- /  WWYD??

I don't currently have a bassinet on my registry because they are so expensive and only used for a short time, so when I saw someone giving this away (because it was given to her), I thought "great! if I use it, perfect, if not, I can gift it to someone else as she did."  Prior to that I thought maybe I would use the infant sleeper of the pack and play, but if I can avoid having such a large piece in our room, that would be nice.  I feel like I am torn... and back to square one with finding the "perfect" solution to this first stage sleeping arrangement issue...
