Hot flashes, anyone?

I've been having them on and off since learning that we were pregnant, but this morning was just crazy! I was hot all through Mass and, though I kept fanning myself with the bulletin, I just couldn't seem to get cool. Usually, when I get them I'm only hot for a few min then I'll gradually cool back down, but this lasted almost the entire Mass...ugh. Eventually, I just told Mh we would have to leave after Communion. God understands, right?

Does anyone else have hot flashes? When do they go away? Is there any kind of trick to avoiding them or making them more bearable? Thanks!
