Elective U/S

Good evening ladies! I am looking for your advice. My anatomy scan is scheduled for August 2nd. I will be 19 weeks. I am considering having an elective u/s at 16 weeks to determine the sex. The u/s is $98.00 and includes a 3D/4D sneak peak and a coupon for a future visit. I have paid more for an u/s at my RE, so $98.00 sounds like a deal to me.

I know it is only 3 weeks earlier but my reasoning is that I have to go back to work on August 3rd. If I find out 3 weeks earlier I will have some time to start working on the nursery before going back to work.

Also, does anyone know the chances of the gender/sex u/s being correct at 16 weeks? Has anyone had the sex determined that early and then found out the sex was wrong?
