Pregnant after IF

Quad screen results

As some of you may remember, I was a bit worried because the baby has pyelectasis, which is a soft marker for Down syndrome. I was also concerned about spina bifida since I have homozygous MTHFR. Our quad screen came back with even lower risk for Down (1:3391, as opposed to 1:2100 in the first tri), 1:25,000 for the other trisomies and 1:25,000 for spina bifida. So yay! I am breathing a little easier.

On the down side, I have positive ANA and they are testing me for other antibodies that could potentially cross the placenta and cause a blockage in the baby's heart (if I have them, odds of that happening are 1:100). I don't have any autoimmune symptoms, but my titer was pretty high, so who the heck knows. As I mentioned in etoyama's post, never a dull moment for us IF-ers.
