?s About Sleeping on Side and PG Pillows

I'm normally a belly or back sleeper, and I've been trying really hard to sleep on my side.  However, this is totally unnatural for me and for the past few weeks I've been getting horrible pain in my hips, both of them, when sleeping, from the pressure of laying on one and then I guess the mis-alignment of the other one.  I bought a Snoogle and sleep w/ it between my knees but still it doesn't help.  I end up having to switch sides about once an hour which makes for a restless sleep.

Two questions 1) anyone else have this and what do you do, and 2) how do you sleep w/ your Snoogle?  With the long part facing you and the "hook" between your knees, or w/ the "hook" supporting your belly and the long part facing your back?  I end up w/ both b/c I move around so much.
