It's annual enrollment time here at my job so even though not much usually changes in the benefits, I thought I'd scroll through and read them in more detail now that I am pregnant.
I had to plan for the max amount in my FSA to help offset the costs associated with delivery because the deductible is going to reset back to $1400 before baby gets here.
Anyway as I noticed what was covered for Maternity services I couldn't help but scroll down to see if any changes had been made in regards to Infertility...
Not a one, they still won't cover anything at all, not even diagnostic blood tests...
And yet when I scrolled down a little further I saw something appalling that they DO cover... Abortion...
REALLY???
And while I understand that there can be extenuating circumstances in which that kind of procedure may be medically necessary, it pisses me off that my company would also cover this as a "non elective" procedure...WTF??? In a company that has at least 75% women in it's make up?
Ridiculous just absolutely ridiculous....
