We're thinking of renting a beach house this summer for a week or two, when I would be in late 2nd tri/early 3rd tri. I'm trying to figure out what I'd be comfortable with travel-wise and want to consider all angles. If there were an emergency, the places we're looking would be near hospitals, but they'd be more rural and much less well-equipped than the hospital where I'd be delivering in the city. Would you be comfortable with travel during the late 2nd/early 3rd tri, if it would take several hours by car/train to get to a good, metropolitan hospital? (For NYers, I'm talking about renting a house in the Hamptons and it taking several hours to get back into the city).
