"grandma"

This past weekend, my mom was once again asking that my 2 yo daughter not call her "grandma", and the conversation always goes back to "well what should she call you then??"  This time she came up with her first name, Lynn.  She wants her grandaughter to call her by her first name only.  Am I the only one who thinks that is completely impersonal and ridiculous?

 Anyone else have moms that are/will resist the "grandma"
