Holy excessive ultrasounds batman

My OBs office called me today b/c they wanted to set up my ultrasound schedule. Beginning at the end of June they are going to do 2 ultrasounds a week. Does that sound excessive?  I mean who minds extra ultrasounds but seriously I wonder if I can afford the gas to get there and back twice a week.  I think I'll be 24 weeks when that starts.
