Does butt paste (or other creams) ruin cloth diapers?

I've heard that any kind of diaper rash cream ruins cloth diapers. Ruins them how, though? The pedi said to put bacitracin and triple paste on DD's butt ulcer (ouch!) but I've heard that doing so will "ruin" the diapers. The problem is, I don't want to put her in sposies because I think that's what caused the problem in the first place (she was in sposies all day on Monday and the ulcer showed up that night). So if they're just gonna be a little stained, it might be worth it. Otherwise I'll have to teach DH how to put on a prefold (because I don't care if those get ruined - I just don't want to muck up my pocket diapers).
