What kind of stash do you recommend for a 5 month old?

I have purchased mainly GroVia and Flip covers and inserts. I see so many different types, its overwhelming for a newbie. I was told by a pro that using shells and inserts is pretty much all need (if thats the kind you prefer to use) as well as some wetbags, travel bags, and a few other extras. How many do you think will be enough? I think I'll get about 28 covers and maybe around 40 inserts or a little less?
