new to wool, how to care for it???

Hello, I just bought my first fitted diapers (mother ease) and a wool cover from little beetle.  I have been using BG and prefolds, no wool.  I have looked up how to wash them, but it all seems contradictory.  Some people say only wash when there is poop on them, some say was every two weeks, the directions that came with the soaker gave directions  for  lanolin, and without...

Any thoughts?
