What kind of inserts/doublers?

Are there any go-to/work with most types of diapers doublers or inserts for added absorbancy? I feel like most brands and companies make their own, but I don't see why they wouldn't be interchangeable between styles and brands. I am STILL waiting for my LO to arrive (come on, little guy!!) so I am trying to find ways to keep myself occupied. Diaper shopping seems like a good idea
