GM Knit vs. Woven

Hello,

I see in the posts below some questions regarding whether the GM dipes stocking are knit or woven? Sorry for silly question but what exactly is the difference? Is one better than the other for a diaper? I currenly use BG 4.0 and FB (not even sure if they are knit, woven or what) and am just getting into the whole fitteds excitement. Received my first B4 in the mail yesterday.
