Is anyone else out there concerned about bamboo?

Bamboo fabrics are made the same way that rayon is made.  Fibers are crushed and treated with chemicals to create fabrics.  The naturally occurring anti bacterial properties of bamboo do not necessarily transfer into the products made from it. 

I can't help but notice how many diaper companies are using it and promoting it as a green option.  Any thoughts on this?
