Confused about Tide

I keep getting recommendations to use Tide original powder, but the spreadsheet that I have always used gives it the lowest ratings as it has dyes, enzymes, fragrances, etc. So is Tide 'safe' or not? I know that CottonBabies does not recommend using a detergent with those ingredients because it doesn't necessarily do damage in the short run but can prematurely degrade the PUL. Do they just say that since they have a 'safe' detergent on the market??
