DIY wipes and cloth inserts???? :/

 I would like to make my own cloth wipes b.c my first DS had very bad reactions to diposable. I just don't know what's the best fabric to use and do I double layer them? I also have seen posts about putting them in a wipe warmer? Do you just add water?

 Also if i'm going to make my own wipes I would like to make my own cloth inserts at the same time. I know to use fleece but is there a certain kind and how many layers do i use? Also is it just fleece inside, or is something else inside the fleece layers?
